About us

THE PRODUCERS FILMS IS AN INDEPENDENT PRODUCTION COMPANY RUN BY JEANNA POLLEY. Jeanna started her CAREER with COMMERCIALS AND SHORT FILMS, WORKING WITH TALENTED WRITERS AND DIRECTORS SUCH AS MIKE NEWELL, STEPHEN FREARS, MICHAEL RADFORD AND MIKE FIGGIS.

Beyond working with an exciting array of notable names in film, Jeanna produced the BAFTA award winning three part serial The Politician’s Wife, which starred Juliet Stevenson and Trevor Eve. She then made the BAFTA- nominated film Seeing Red for ITV,starring Sarah Lancashire.

 

Jeanna went on to produce the two hour drama Belonging for ITV, an adaptation by Alan Plater of Stevie Davies’ book The Web of Belonging. Brenda Blethyn, the star of Belonging was nominated for a BAFTA for her performance.

 

The Producers currently have an extensive film and television slate. Their projects in development currently include The Poisoners, a film to be directed by Jon Amiel and starring Christina Hendricks,

 

Jeanna is also working on a hilarious new romantic comedy written, and to be directed by the talented Jonathan Lynn called The Pre-Nup. She has also co-produced with Italian company Cattleya and America’s Franchise Productions on productions including Don’t Move starring Penelope Cruz and Laws of Attraction starring Julianne Moore.

Biographies

JEANNA POLLEY

Jeanna Polley began her career in advertising working as a producer in agencies such as McCann-Erickson and BBDO. She established The Producers together with Jenny Edwards in the late 1980s. Having started as a commercials production company, the company soon moved on to make short films before focusing on television dramas and feature films. They won a BAFTA for Best Drama Serial for The Politician’s Wife.
